Privacy policy and terms of use for Farsight.

Farsight is a FutureHax product. By using it you agree to these terms and to any product-specific notices shown in the app.
Some features require signing in. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. We store account identifiers (such as email) and license status needed to operate the service.
Paid access may be sold as a one-time purchase (processed by our merchant of record, such as Lemon Squeezy) and/or granted through a qualifying r2Plays / FutureHax Patreon membership. One-time purchases remain tied to your account. Patreon-based access remains active while your qualifying membership is active.
If Farsight does not work for you, contact us within 14 days of a one-time purchase and we will make it right. Refunds for store purchases are processed through the merchant of record.
You retain rights to content you create or upload. You are responsible for having the rights to use that content. Do not upload unlawful material or content you do not have permission to use.
Do not circumvent license checks, resell access, attack the service, or abuse shared infrastructure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Farsight is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FutureHax is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
A perpetual license to use this version of Farsight on the platforms (Android, iOS, iPadOS) tied to your store account. The Farsight Viewer player display is a free separate download for macOS, Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. The license is yours; it does not expire.
Install the app on devices tied to your store account. Run sessions for any group, public or private. The license is yours and does not require ongoing approval from us.
The player display server (the Pi/Mac/Windows/Linux side) is a free download. You may install it on as many machines as you own. You may not repackage it, mirror it on a paid distribution channel without permission, or claim it as your own work. Listed pay-what-you-want on itch.io if you want to tip.
Apple and Google handle refunds via their stores. We honor direct refund requests within 30 days, no questions asked. Email support@futurehax.com.
Farsight is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We ship bug fixes and updates, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Scenes auto-save continuously to your DM device; close the app normally between sessions to avoid losing recent changes.

FutureHax respects your privacy. This policy explains what information Farsight collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Farsight is a peer-to-peer tool. During play, your device talks to the player display over local Wi-Fi. There is no backend server for campaign data. Your scenes, combat state, and campaign data stay on your hardware.

Farsight may use essential cookies or local browser storage required for sign-in, preferences, and client-side features. We do not use non-essential advertising trackers.

We use industry-standard practices including HTTPS and provider controls for data at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; keep your account and devices secure.
Account and license records are retained while needed to provide access, support, accounting, and fraud prevention. You may request deletion of account data subject to legal retention needs.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold. Contact us to make a request. We will respond within applicable timeframes.
Farsight is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Farsight is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and optional Bugfender diagnostics so we can see which features get used and fix crashes. These events are anonymized: no campaign content, player data, or personal identifiers. You can turn both off any time under Settings → Privacy. This marketing website uses Google Analytics too, but only after you accept the cookie banner; decline and no analytics cookies are set.
The GM unlock and optional AI token packs or DM Pro token subscription are Google Play in-app purchases (or the App Store on iOS when that build ships). We see anonymized sales counts only, never your billing details. We do not sell Farsight through Lemon Squeezy.
AI features (DM Assistant, character scanner, monster scanner, encounter generator, monster creator, loot, and adventure hooks) require a free Google account sign-in on Android. When you use them, your input is sent to Firebase AI Logic (Google Gemini) for processing. Photos are processed in transit and not retained by us. DM Assistant conversation history and your AI token balance are stored in Firebase (Firestore) linked to your account ID. You can clear conversation history from the Assistant screen, turn off history persistence under Settings → AI Features, or delete your account and cloud data from Settings → Account. Generated content is not retained after delivery. Voice input is processed on-device by Android speech recognition and is never sent to our servers.
The optional Chrome importer can store a D&D Beyond session cookie and Foundry login on your GM device so you can pull characters and packs over LAN. Those secrets stay on the device. They are omitted from Farsight backup files. Delete all data from the Account screen to clear them.
